JEFFERSON CITY – A list of Missouri Information Analysis reports — obtained after controversy over one report said supporters of third-party candidates might be militia members — shows conservative groups aren’t the only subjects these reports.

The list, the result of a Freedom of Information request, shows that the subjects of reports include others about white supremacist groups, but also the New Black Panther Party and at least one about the anarchist movement.

The content of reports requested is awaiting a review before release.

Meanwhile, Rep. Jim Guest, R-King City, has sponsored a bill that would create a House committee to oversee MIAC.

Here is the full list of reports from the Missouri Highway Patrol:

Santa Clara County officials have declared a local emergency after they said someone intentionally cut an underground fiber optic cable in south San Jose, causing a widespread phone service outage in southern Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties today that included disruption to 911 emergency phone service.

John Britton, a spokesman for AT&T, said it appears somebody opened a manhole in South San Jose, climbed down eight to 10 feet and cut four or five fiber-optic cables.Britton also said there was a report of underground cables being cut in San Carlos.

AT&T is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for the sabotage, Britton said.

The outage initially affected some cell phones, Internet access and about 52,200 Verizon household land lines in Morgan Hill, Gilroy and Santa Cruz County, according to the Santa Clara County Office of Emergency Services. The cell phone networks affected are Verizon, Nextel, Sprint and some AT&T.

Verizon is the sole provider of land lines in the South County area.

“We’ve never to this extent in recent history had this kind of phone outage,” said Gilroy police Sgt. Jim Gillio.

ATMs in South Santa Clara County were not working.

Saint Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy cancelled all elective surgeries in response to the emergency, according to county officials.

By Second Amendment Foundation Thursday, April 9, 2009

BELLEVUE, WA – Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on April 7 acknowledged that gun registration is on her agenda, days after Attorney General Eric Holder told reporters in Mexico that the Second Amendment would not “stand in the way” of administration plans to crack down on alleged gun trafficking to Mexico.

“These are alarming remarks from Speaker Pelosi and Attorney General Holder,” said Second Amendment Foundation founder Alan Gottlieb. “It appears that the Obama administration and Capitol Hill anti-gunners have dropped all pretences about their plans for gun owners’ rights, and it looks like the gloves are coming off.”

Man arrested for threatening to kill officers
By Dana Yates

A man was arrested Monday night for threatening to kill police officers and blow up the South San Francisco Police Department, Sgt. Joni Lee said yesterday.

Gerardo Kelly, 57, of South San Francisco was arrested for allegedly making threats to police officers and terrorists threats, Lee said.

Kelly was calling the South San Francisco Police Department throughout the day Monday “rambling about how he was going to get a bunch of Mexicans together to kill officers,” Lee said. He made other similar statements, Lee said.

Later, he called the San Francisco Police Department where he spoke to dispatchers for approximately 16 minutes, Lee said.

He made comments about killing police officers and bringing a bomb to the South San Francisco Police Department, Lee said.

“In light of what happened to the Oakland police officers and the officers in Pittsburgh, obviously we take these threats seriously,” Lee said.

Following that lengthy call, the South San Francisco Police Department issued warning Monday night for police officers to be on the lookout for Kelly. Conveniently, Kelly provided dispatchers with his name, cell phone number and address, Lee said.

He was arrested and booked into San Mateo County Jail on two charges.
