DENVER (AP) — A Texas man who pleaded guilty to threatening President Barack Obama and the Mall of America in suburban Minneapolis was sentenced Friday to four years of probation and home detention.

Former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds dropped a bombshell on the Mike Malloy radio show, guest-hosted by Brad Friedman (audio, partial transcript).

In the interview, Sibel says that the US maintained ‘intimate relations’ with Bin Laden, and the Taliban, “all the way until that day of September 11.”

These ‘intimate relations’ included using Bin Laden for ‘operations’ in Central Asia, including Xinjiang, China. These ‘operations’ involved using al Qaeda and the Taliban in the same manner “as we did during the Afghan and Soviet conflict,” that is, fighting ‘enemies’ via proxies.

As Sibel has previously described, and as she reiterates in this latest interview, this process involved using Turkey (with assistance from ‘actors from Pakistan, and Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia’) as a proxy, which in turn used Bin Laden and the Taliban and others as a proxy terrorist army.

In Springfield, Illinois, the commoners will get acclimated in the coming week to the idea of the military on the streets. “A Springfield-based military police company will be training with a new armored vehicle in the area this week,” the Associated Press reports. “The Illinois Army National Guard says training with the new Armored Security Vehicles will start Thursday and run through Sunday.”

Staff Sgt. Daniel Becker said that people shouldn’t be afraid when they see the armored vehicles on the road.

No, they shouldn’t be afraid — they need to let the idea sink in that it is normal for armed troops to be on the streets. After they get used to military vehicles on the roads, they will need to get accustomed to military checkpoints like the ones in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Before “everything changed,” that is before the government used a bogus terror attack to increase the militarization of society, the military restricted its testing of equipment to bases and proving grounds.

Now they want you to understand you live in a banana republic.

This is absolutely crazy. This is why Obama, Pelosi and Reid want this rushed through. Americans will not stand for this.

Two DeKalb County police officers have been placed on paid administrative leave after an investigation revealed they ran a background check on President Barack Obama.

A representative for the DeKalb County CEO’s office identified the officers as Ryan Wright and C.M. Route.

Officials said Obama’s name was typed into a computer inside a DeKalb County police car on July 20 and ran through the National Crime Information Center.

The secret service was immediately notified and contacted the DeKalb County Police Department.

A representative said both officers have been with the department less than five years.

A representative said one of the officers denied involvement.

An official investigation is being conducted by the DeKalb County Police Department’s Internal Affairs division.

It is unclear why the officers ran a check on the president.

The move, which was made in the closing weeks of the administration of President George W. Bush, came after months of heated internal debate about the balance of power and the role of the military in a time of crisis, participants said. Officials said the Obama administration had left the plan essentially intact.

Under the revamped structure, the White House Military Office, which reports to the office of the White House chief of staff, has assumed a more central role in setting up a temporary “shadow government” in a crisis.

A top US domestic security chief called Wednesday on ordinary citizens to join law enforcement bodies in fighting an increasingly elusive — and homegrown — terrorist threat.

“We need a culture of collective responsibility, a culture where every individual understands his or her role,” Janet Napolitano, secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, said in a speech in New York.

Referring to a spate of arrests around the country of US citizens and residents charged with jihad-type militancy, Napolitano said that ordinary people were often the first line of defense.

In just the latest case, seven people were arrested Monday, including an American-born Muslim convert and his two sons living in a quiet North Carolina suburb.

Napolitano stressed she was not advocating “a culture of spying on one another,” but said that crucial intelligence came from the bottom up.

“You are the ones who know when something is not right in your community,” she said.

Ocean City police say a civilian found a IED on the beach of the a resort in Ocean City Maryland.

It happened Tuesday about 1:50 p.m. on 40th Street and the beach. Police evacuated the area for about an hour. Using robotic equipment, technicians with the Ocean City bomb squad removed the device from the beach to a location in west Ocean City.Technicians found that it was an improvised explosive device and rendered it safe.

The incident is under investigation by the Ocean City Fire Marshal’s office.

Shocking footage shows one officer repeatedly stunning the 40-year-old man with the high-voltage weapon as he lies in the middle of a busy city center.

His colleague then appears to punch the man with considerable force three times in the neck and shoulder.

Federal agents swept into New Jersey towns across several counties Thursday morning, (July 23, 2009) charging 44 people including mayors and religious leaders in a federal investigation into public corruption and money laundering.

Weysan Dun, special agent in charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Newark office, said more than 300 FBI and Internal Revenue Service agents began making arrests and executing search warrants at 6 a.m. Thursday. Those arrested in the corruption probe include Peter Cammarano III, the newly elected Democratic mayor of Hoboken; Dennis Elwell, mayor of Secaucus, also a Democrat; state Assemblyman Daniel Van Pelt, a Republican; and Democrat Leona Beldini, the deputy mayor of Jersey City.

The money-laundering portion of the investigation swept up several rabbis in New York and New Jersey, according to Ralph Marra Jr., acting U.S. attorney for New Jersey.

In all, 29 people were caught up in the probe into public corruption, and 15 were implicated in the investigation into money laundering, including one Brooklyn man charged with conspiring to broker the sale of a kidney. Those arrested were expected to be arraigned in court Thursday afternoon, July 23, 2009

The case underscores “the pervasive nature of public corruption” in New Jersey, Mr. Marra said. Corruption among the politicians, he said, was “a way of life.”

Boise, Idaho, police officer who pushed a Taser inside a man’s buttocks and threatened to “Taser his balls” violated use-of-force policy, but didn’t break the law, an ombudsman has found.

The man in question, whose identity is being withheld, plans to sue the Boise police.

On February 14 of this year, the “complainant,” as he is called in police reports, physically blocked the door to his residence when police arrived to investigate a domestic disturbance. Believing the police officers, who he claims did not identify themselves, to be a person coming to “beat him up,” he refused to allow them entry.

When officers forced their way in, “three officers rushed in and within nine seconds, had the man face down on the floor and had deployed the Taser against the small of his back. Only after the first [tasing] did they order his hands behind his back,” reports the Boise Weekly.

In a report, Boise Community Ombudsman Pierce Murphy “said the officer who used the Taser — described as Officer #3 in the report — also coarsely threatened to use the Taser in the man’s anus and genitals. Murphy’s report says that use of Taser on a man’s buttock’s does not violate policy in and of itself,” reports the Idaho Statesman.

The Statesman printed a transcript of an audio recording of the altercation:

Officer #3: Do you feel this?
Complainant: Yes, sir.
Officer #3: Do you feel that? That’s my -
Complainant: Okay
Officer #3: -Taser up your ass.
Complainant: Okay
Officer #3: So don’t move.
Complainant: I’m trying not to. I can’t breathe.
…
Officer #3: Now do you feel this in your balls?
Complainant: I do, sir. I’m not going to move. I’m not gonna move.
Officer #3 Now I’m gonna tase your balls if you move again.
A minute later, this exchange occurred:
Officer #3: Okay, I’m gonna take this Taser out of your asshole now. Are you going to fight with me?
Complainant: No, not at all, sir.

The Statesman is now reporting that the complainant “plans to sue the Boise Police Department for excessive use of force.”

The Boise Weekly quotes Boise Police Chief Mike Masterson as saying the allegation against the officer is “one of the most serious charges that an officer can face … It is an offense that is very likely to lead to termination.”

But the complainant’s lawyer, Ron Coulter, said that the officer in question is still walking his beat.

“I don’t think he should be back on the street, but then I’m not the chief of police,” Coulter told the Boise Weekly. “When you do things like he did I’m not sure that person’s even fit to wear a uniform.”

It shows a flatbed trailer ferrying a couple black SUV Suburbans with Defense logos on them (described as Fifth Army, HHC CSRD). The video was shot on I-35 between San Marcos and Austin, Texas. “I did a tour in Iraq, 05-06, and I don’t remember any civilian models this heavily equipped being there,” writes Bratton.

The transport of these heavily equipped vehicles occurred a month before NLE 09, the FEMA exercise that kicks off this week. Is it possible these vehicles are related to the exercise aimed at confronting “domestic terrorists,” defined by the DHS as “rightwing extremists”?

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 29% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11. That’s the first time his ratings have reached double digits in negative territory (see trends).

These updates are based upon nightly telephone interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. Today is the first update based entirely upon interviews conducted after the President’s prime time televised press conference. The number who Strongly Approve of the President has remained unchanged since the press conference but the number who Strongly Disapprove has gone up by five percentage points (from 35% on Wednesday morning to 40% today).

Yesterday, (7/25/09) afternoon a member of the American Resistance Movement was making snooping rounds when he spotted this equipment being offloaded at a local trucking yard in Brunswick County, NC. All equipment, aside from one utility trailer, was painted in a woodland camo scheme. Equipment consisted of:

* Numerous Humvees in a variety of loadouts, including communication trucks, ambulance, personnel carriers, etc.

* Large general-purpose utility (”Cattle”) trucks and utility trailers outfitted to carry personnel.

* Up to one dozen military storage/shipping containers of varying sizes.

All equipment/assets were marked ‘USMC’.

My morning and afternoon rounds on Sunday, 7/26, revealed that this equipment was still present in the yard but had been staged in one corner of the yard.

NOTE: AT THIS SAME TRUCKING YARD 2 DAYS PRIOR HE WITNESSED THREE FLATBED SEMIS, EACH LOADED WITH ONE ENORMOUS WOODEN CRATE MARKED “REPUBLIC OF GERMANY”. UNFORTUNATELY,HE TOOK NO FOOTAGE FIGURING IT TO BE NORMAL IMPORTED GOODS - NOT REALIZING THAT GERMANY WAS ONE OF THE NATO PARTNERS DESIGNATED TO PARTICIPATE IN NLE.09

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper who pulled over and choked a paramedic on his way to delivering a patient to hospital has suspended for just five days and ordered to attend an “anger assessment.”

The incident occurred in late May on Highway 62 near Boley in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma.

As we detailed in our report at the time, trooper Daniel Martin and his colleague were responding to a call of their own and were evidently annoyed that Maurice White Jr’s ambulance did not yield and give way to them on the road.

Video shot by the patient’s son on a cell phone showed Martin grab Mr White in an attempt to put him in an arm lock and cuff him. Mr White resisted, a scuffle ensued and Martin grabbed the EMT by the throat.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will launch on Monday the five-day National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09)—the first national level exercise to focus on terrorism prevention—in conjunction with federal, state, local, tribal, private sector and international partners.

“Coordinating with our partners across the United States and around the world is critical to protecting the nation from terrorist attacks,” said Secretary Janet Napolitano. “The National Level Exercise allows us to test our capabilities in real-time to refine and strengthen our strategies for preventing terrorist attacks.”

The Congressionally mandated exercise—directed by the White House and coordinated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)—promotes intelligence and information sharing between and among federal, state, tribal, local, private sector and international participants. The NLE 09 scenario focuses on preventing a terrorist from entering the United States to carry out additional attacks in the aftermath of a terrorist event outside of the country, prioritizing intelligence and law enforcement activities that detect, disrupt and deter preventable terrorist incidents.

“FEMA’s focus is to make sure that our entire response team, from the general public up to the highest level of government, is taking steps now to increase preparedness – regardless of what the next emergency or disaster is,” said FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate. “This exercise is an important step in our ongoing preparedness efforts, and allows FEMA and its federal partners to better serve and protect our citizens.”

The Departments of Homeland Security, Defense, Justice, and State, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and a broad spectrum of component agencies, offices and commands will all participate in the exercise. NLE 09 activities will take place at command posts, emergency operation centers, intelligence centers and field locations throughout the country, including federal headquarters facilities in the Washington, D.C. area as well as federal, regional, state, tribal, local and private sector facilities in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and California. International partner nations will include Australia, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom. The Navajo Nation will also participate.

Following the exercise, a comprehensive evaluation process will assess counterterrorism and law enforcement prevention capabilities regionally, nationally and internationally.

At 01:36 am est July 25, 2009 a call went out for a home invasion. This incident occurred in Augusta Georgia (Richmond County) at 2251 Raleigh Drive.

This was confirmed at 01:39 am est by a dispatcher for APD number #32. As of the time of this report we were told that there was no injury’s involved. We drove there to see what was going on and arrived there at 2:04 am est. Only one police car and officer was on the scene at the time of arrival tag of the officer (GV42015). No other vehicles were observed at the scene which APD left at around 2:10 am est. Which means they only stayed on the crime scene for less then 30 min.,based on our observations.

Note when the officer saw us across the street as he exited the crime scene he jumped in his vehicle and sped away at a high rate of speed through a residential neighborhood at around 2:11 am est. in what could be considered a dangerous act as he did this with no blue lights or siren.

Several states are lining up to reclaim their sovereignty and telling the federal government to butt out. This is being done in myriad ways but all are related in that most claim that the Tenth Amendment protects the states from federal tyranny. States are passing resolutions, memorials and two states have passed laws and they intend to apply those laws for their citizens. The two states are Montana and Tennessee.

It was expected that at some point these laws would be challenged and it appears actions to do such has begun.

The Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has published open letters to federal firearms license holders in Montana and Tennessee explaining that federal law trumps state law when it comes to gun laws

Employees at the Bonneville Power Administration on North Mountain Avenue found an active pipe bomb near the power plant at about 1 p.m. Wednesday (07-22-09) during a routine grounds check, police said.

The Oregon State Police Bomb Squad had deactivated the homemade bomb by about 3:20 p.m. and no one was injured in the incident, said Lt. Corey Falls with the Ashland Police Department.

“Once the device was dismantled the bomb techs confirmed that the device was a good pipe bomb,”

The bomb was found in the 400 block of North Mountain Avenue and was outdoors in a secluded area that could not be seen from the street or nearby North Mountain Park, Falls said. The bomb appeared to have been there for quite a while, he said.

Because the bomb was found in a fairly remote area, police decided no evacuations were necessary, according to Falls.

As of Wednesday afternoon (07-23-09), police had no leads on who may have been responsible for the bomb, he said. The bomb will be sent to the Oregon State Crime Lab.
