Blog Update: At 1500 hours (3pm est.) our call was returned by a Major Patrick Seiber of Fort Campbell Ky. The Major said it is strictly a drill to last only a few hours.Training exercise being coordinated with the citizens and cooperation with the mayor and local authorities. He said will be much like a airshow, and said will be a real brief exercise.I asked him about gun confiscation his response was its a constitutional right to own guns,and he supports this and the entire Constitution, At least this is what was told to me. I just report and inform you on what I was told.
A small Obion County Tennessee town is preparing for a 101st airborne assault. On Tuesday Sept. 29, 2009.
The “assault” is a training exercise for the famed Screaming Eagles. Residents of Troy have been told that they shouldn’t be alarmed when soldiers start dropping in from above. Fort Campbell officials say the training will help the soldiers, many of whom have regularly deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, prepare for real-world, combat scenarios.(Like for the upcoming state of Martial Law)
Starting on Tuesday 09-29-2009, soldiers will start moving into Troy. They will identify four target buildings, search and clear them.
