COP PULLS GUN TO END SNOWBALL FIGHT

A plainclothes police detective allegedly pulled his gun out and waved it at a large group of people in a snowball fight at the corner of 14th and U Saturday afternoon (12-19-09).

The incident began when a plain-clothes detective approached the crowd of people throwing snowballs and got into a verbal altercation with members of the crowd, according to police.
A uniformed officer responded to the scene after getting calls about a man with a gun. The uniformed officer pulled out his weapon as he approached the plain-clothes detective. As soon as the detective identified himself the uniformed officer put his gun back in the holster, police said.

Twitter hacked by ‘Iranian Cyber Army’

WASHINGTON – Popular microblogging site Twitter was briefly shut down overnight, its home page replaced with an image claiming the site had been hacked by the “Iranian Cyber Army.”
The website’s official blog acknowledged the disruption but gave no details as to how the site had been disrupted and who was responsible.
“Last night, DNS settings for the Twitter Web site were hijacked,” the site’s co-founder Biz Stone wrote Friday on the blog.

Philadelphia Police Officer attacks store clerk after she carded him for chewing tobacco

Police Officer Brian Decker is being investigated for allegedly beating a Wawa employee after she carded him before buying chewing tobacco.

A witness, who spoke exclusively to NBC Philadelphia on the condition of anonymity, said she was forced to put herself between employee Monique Wilson and Decker after he began to wail on the woman.
“They got to the doorway of the stockroom and I saw him grab her and his fists went flying,” the witness said. “I ran to the back and he was literally punching her with both fists clenched in the face, in the neck, in the chest in the head – whoever he could hit.”
Ridley Twp. Police confirmed Decker, 33, who was off-duty at the time, was involved in an incident at the convenience store located across the street from the station, but would not release further details.
Other witnesses called 9-1-1 while the unidentified woman tried to stop the attack. She said Decker then threatened her – raising his fists to her face.
“I said ‘Stop! Just stop’ and then he just stood there and then he put his fists up,” the woman recalled. “I just looked at him and I said, ‘Ugh, you don’t even wanna go there.’”
The woman said Decker was not handcuffed when Ridley Twp. Police responded to the emergency call. She says when she questioned why, the officer told her “if you’re smart, you won’t get involved.”
Ridley Twp. Police suspended Decker with the intent to dismiss. They have also turned over the case to the Delaware County D.A.’s office to avoid a conflict of interest.
Attempts to reach Decker for comment were unsuccessful and the Fraternal Order of Police lodge that represents him, offered no comment.

President Obama announced what he called a “meaningful and unprecedented” climate change deal with China and other key nations that was expected to be sealed before the president headed home from the Copenhagen summit late Friday.

“For the first time in history, all major economies have come together to accept their responsibility to take action to confront the threat of climate change,” Obama told reporters.
The president said he met with leaders from India, China, Brazil and South Africa, and “that’s where we agreed … to set a mitigation target to limit warming to no more than 2 degrees Celsius.”

Today the gloves came off and the true purpose of the “global warming” scare became nakedly visible. Ugo Chavez, the Socialist president of Venezuela, blamed “global warming” on capitalism – and received a standing ovation from very nearly all of the delegates, lamentably including those from those of the capitalist nations of the West that are on the far Left – and that means too many of them.

Previously Robert Mugabe, dictator of Rhodesia, who had refused to leave office when he had been soundly defeated in a recent election, had also won plaudits at the conference for saying that the West ought to pay him plenty of money in reparation of our supposed “climate debt”.

Inside the conference center, “world leader” after “world leader” got up and postured about the need to Save The Planet, the imperative to do a deal, the necessity to save the small island nations from drowning, etc.
Outside, in the real world, it was snowing, and a foretaste of the Brave New World being cooked up by “world leaders” in their fantasy-land was already evident. Some 20,000 observers from non-governmental organizations – nearly all of them true-believing Green groups funded by taxpayers – had been accredited to the conference.

WASHINGTON — Militants in Iraq have used $26 off-the-shelf software to intercept live video feeds from U.S. Predator drones, potentially providing them with information they need to evade or monitor U.S. military operations.
Senior defense and intelligence officials said Iranian-backed insurgents intercepted the video feeds by taking advantage of an unprotected communications link in some of the remotely flown planes’ systems. Shiite fighters in Iraq used software programs such as SkyGrabber — available for as little as $25.95 on the Internet — to regularly capture drone video feeds, according to a person familiar with reports on the matter.

Guardsman charged with threatening to bomb Seattle armory in Washington

Prosecutors have filed charges against a Seattle guardsman following accusations that he threatened to bomb the armory in the city’s Interbay neighborhood.
In charging documents, prosecutors allege a string of troubling incidents leading up to Timothy James Pikes’ arrest on Dec. 5.
According to prosecutors, Pikes, 37, was already facing disciplinary action for refusing to deploy to Iraq when, on Dec. 4, he allegedly told a co-worker he was going to “just blow up the whole unit building” at the National Guard armory at 1601 W. Armory Way. Prosecutors allege he went on to say he wanted to “shoot up a Catholic church.”
Exactly one year before his arrest, Pikes made a similar threat against his fellow guardsmen, according to Seattle police statements. Ordered to surrender his weapons after refusing to deploy to Iraq, Pikes allegedly told his supervisor he had thoughts of “killing and shooting people” at the facility.
Pikes’ supervisor was apparently so concerned about the threat, he spent the following day guarding the facility’s front gate in case Pikes arrived.
Arrested at his South Seattle home, Pikes allegedly told officers the incident “was a result of a miscommunication,” according to police.
Charged with making threats to bomb or injure property, Pikes remains in King County Jail on $500,000 bail.

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has again publicly admitted that the agenda behind the Copenhagen summit and the climate change fraud is the imposition of a global government and the end of national sovereignty.
Speaking about the agenda to impose targets on CO2 emissions, as well as a global tax on financial transactions and a direct tax on GDP, Ban Ki-moon told the Los Angeles Times in an interview, “We will establish a global governance structure to monitor and manage the implementation of this.”
“We need to have a very strong, robust, binding political deal that will have an immediate operational effect. This is not going to be a political declaration, just for the sake of declaration. It is going to be a binding political deal, which will lead to a legally binding treaty next year,” he told the Times’ Bruce Wallace, adding that a formal treaty would be signed by mid-2010.
Ki-moon also hinted that the arrival of President Barack Obama could grasp victory from the jaws of defeat for the globalists, who up until now have looked like failing in their efforts to secure a multilateral agreement at Copenhagen that includes China, India and the United States.

Courthouse in Ohio gets firebombed

MANSFIELD, Ohio —  Federal authorities seek an Ohio man believed responsible for starting an arson fire by throwing at least one fire-causing device through the windows of a city hall in north central Ohio. Police Chief Phil Messer says something similar to Molotov cocktails started the small fire and set off sprinklers that caused water damage at Mansfield City Hall The explosion and fire happened about 12:30 a.m. Monday.Special Agent Kim Riddell of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives says authorities seek 40-year-old Kevin D. Dye on a warrant charging aggravated arson and manufacturing a dangerous ordnance.
Messer says four second-floor windows were broken at the Mansfield Municipal Court, including judges’ administrative offices. There were no injuries.
Investigators say some sort of an incendiary device was thrown through a window into the office of a court bailiff, located on the second floor of the city’s municipal building. Three other windows of judges offices were also broken out.
  The fire that started in the office was quickly extinguished by the buildings sprinkler system, but the water damaged offices inside the Mansfield Police Department and late Monday the extent of damage to electronic equipment was still not completely known.
There are no documented injuries. However, an ATF spokesperson says there were people in the building at the time and had the sprinklers not extinguished the fire as quickly as they did the results could have been catastrophic.

Tahaya Buchanan, an American fugitive who’d been on the run for more than two years, dodging a national arrest warrant for insurance fraud, has spent her years underground gainfully employed by the Department of Homeland Security.

Buchanan had been indicted in New Jersey for insurance fraud in 2007, and a warrant for her arrest was issued that December and was posted to the National Crime Information Center in January 2008. New Jersey prosecutor Michael Morris said they believed Buchanan had been working for Homeland Security in New Jersey in 2007, and might have been transferred to the department’s immigration office in Georgia at some point during the investigation. That’s where authorities lost track of her.
“We found it surprising [and] alarming,” Morris said, “that an employee of the Department of Homeland Security is a fraudster, and we do not understand how she could have remained employed there with an open criminal warrant for her arrest remaining on the interstate system without being discovered.”

A Stanford Professor has used United Nation security officers to silence a journalist asking him “inconvenient questions” during a press briefing at the climate change conference in Copenhagen.

Professor Stephen Schneider’s assistant requested armed UN security officers who held film maker Phelim McAleer, ordered him to stop filming and prevented further questioning after the press conference where the Stanford academic was launching a book.

McAleer, a veteran journalist and film maker, has recently made a documentary “Not Evil Just Wrong’ which takes a skeptical look at the science and politics behind Global Warming concerns.
He asked Professor Schneider about his opinions on Climate gate – where leaked emails have revealed that a senior British professor deleted data and encouraged colleagues to do likewise if it contradicted their belief in Global Warming.

Lawyer sues traffic and parking courts in Indianapolis, Indiana over threatened $2500 penalty for contesting a ticket in court.

Motorists who receive minor parking or traffic tickets in Indianapolis, Indiana are being threatened with fines of up to $2500 if they attempt to take the ticket to court. A local attorney with the firm Roberts and Bishop was so outraged by what he saw in Marion County traffic court that he filed a class action suit yesterday seeking to have the practice banned as unconstitutional.

“The deck is stacked against the motorist,” lawyer Paul K. Ogden wrote. “To penalize that person for seeking justice seems wrong. I know it is done for the purpose of discouraging baseless challenges to tickets and clogging the docket, but in the process you are also penalizing people who have a legitimate defense and want a chance to present it to the court.”

RAND Corporation Blueprint for Militarized “Stability Police Force”

The RAND Corporation, one of the most fecund research arms of the Military-Industrial-Homeland Security Complex, has released a study entitled A Stability Police Force for the United States: Justification and Creating U.S. Capabilities.
The SPFOR (to use the inevitable acronym) would be a “hybrid” military/law enforcement unit created within the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) for use “in a range of tasks such as crowd and riot control, special weapons and tactics (SWAT), and investigations of organized criminal groups” — both abroad, in UN-directed multilateral military operations, and at home, as dictated by the needs of the Regime.
Initially as small as 2–6,000 personnel, the SPFOR’s size “could be increased by augmenting it with additional federal, state, or local police from the United States” as necessary.
The RAND study, which was conducted for the U.S. Army’s Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute, recommended using the Marshals Service rather than the US Army’s Military Police  as host for the SPFOR in order to avoid conflicts with the Posse Comitatus Act, which forbids (albeit in principle more than in practice) the domestic use of the military as a law enforcement body.

Youth held in bomb-making case allegedly plotted to kill Obama

A 20-year-old American youth, who was arrested last year for possessing bomb-making chemicals, was allegedly plotting to assassinate President Barack Obama, federal prosecutors have said. 
A close friend of Collin McKenzie-Gude, who kept a small arsenal in his bedroom, told investigators that he was plotting to assassinate Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign, the prosecutors stated in a court filing on Monday (12-07-09).
According to the filing, which offers the clue why authorities have taken the 16-month-old case so seriously, McKenzie-Gude planned to use bombs planted in the road to halt Obama’s convoy, then kill him with the long-range AR-15 rifle that police found in his bedroom, The Washington Post said.

Senate Set to Vote on Another Anti-gun Judge

Here we go again. 
First, there was Sonia Sotomayor.  Then there was David Hamilton.
Now, we have another radical, anti-gun judge that has been nominated for the federal judiciary.  His name is Louis Butler, and he is so radical, he was twice rejected by the people of Wisconsin (which is, by the way, one of the most liberal states in our union).
When Louis Butler first ran for the Wisconsin Supreme Court — the voters rejected him by a 2–1 margin.  When he was appointed to that court by Democrat Governor Jim Doyle and then stood for retention by the voters, they again rejected him. This was the first time a member of the Wisconsin Supreme Court was rejected by the voters in more than 40 years.
More importantly, Louis Butler opposes the rights of gun owners. The right to bear arms in the Wisconsin Constitution expressly notes that this right is for personal security and “any other lawful purpose.”  But in State v. Fischer, Judge Butler was the deciding vote in 2006 to hold that a Wisconsin statute barring carrying a concealed weapon for any purpose, at any time, including in a vehicle, does not violate this right to personal security that the voters of Wisconsin chose to expressly protect in their state constitution.
So he ignored the state constitution in order to impose his anti-gun views on the people of Wisconsin.
After the landmark U.S. Supreme Court Heller case upholding Second Amendment gun rights in 2008, Louis Butler spoke at an Obama for President fundraiser and specifically mentioned “gun control” as an issue that potential Obama appointees would impact.
“Gun control,” Butler said, “may ultimately be decided, and the new appointees can tip the very balance of the court.  [The] background, personal beliefs and policy decisions of the justices selected will influence how they will vote on the difficult cases before them.”
There you have it.  He is a radical activist who wants to move the courts — and our country — in a new direction.  We’ve already had enough “hope and change” for a lifetime.  We don’t need another federal judge who will use his radical “personal beliefs” to reshape our society.

Buried deep within the over 1,000 pages of the massive US Health Care Bill (PDF) in a “non-discussed” section titled: Subtitle C-11 Sec. 2521— National Medical Device Registry, and which states its purpose as:

“The Secretary shall establish a national medical device registry (in this subsection referred to as the ‘registry’) to
facilitate analysis of postmarket safety and outcomes data on each device that—‘‘(A) is or has been used in or on a
patient; and ‘‘(B) is a class III device; or ‘‘(ii) a class II device that is implantable.”

In “real world speak”, according to this report, this new law, when fully implemented, provides the framework for
making the United States the first Nation in the World to require each and every one of its citizens to have implanted
in them a radio-frequency identification (RFID) microchip for the purpose of controlling who is, or isn’t, allowed
medical care in their country.

President Obama has made history. He is the only president to reach the highest office in the land without providing the American people a transparent account of who he really is.
Various anti-American groups, such as the Communist Party USA, stated that capitalism is the enemy and endorsed Barack Obama. Frank Marshall Davis, a prolific communist leader in the United States, was and still is one of Obama’s mentors, beginning in Hawaii when Obama was 10 years old. Another Obama pal, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, threatened an oil company executive with a government takeover of all U.S. oil companies. Hugo Chavez, the communist dictator, has already done this to U.S. oil companies in Venezuela.
Members of the Democratic Socialists of America, who are pushing for wealth redistribution and abolishment of private land ownership, also support Obama. They claim he is a registered socialist in their organization. This group wants a welfare state.
President Obama is slowly being exposed. He claimed the U.S. Constitution is flawed and he wants to spread the wealth from hard-working achievers among nonproducers. He worked for seven years with Bill Ayers, a man who plotted to overthrow the U.S. government.
There are 82 socialists in Congress who are the power base giving Obama protection as he moves this nation into a Marxist utopia.
