Is history repeating itself? American History In Perspective

The people were being ruled by a distant, centralized and concentrated tyrannical form of government. Unfair taxes were being levied upon them, and their lives and liberties were being intruded upon. Rather than making necessary changes in the way it governed, the government increased the presence and visibility of its uniformed enforcers so as to frighten the people into submission, and possibly deter them from an uprising..
Instead of being frightened, the people became angry. Some began to form Militias and develop plans of resistance. And began to take action and terrorize the tax collectors and the uniformed enforcers. Violence occurred in several places between these citizens and ” their government “. On one occasion 11 ” extremists ” as the government called them were fired upon with a total of five dying from the governments” excessive “force. In that particular instance, those “radical” citizens had been armed only with clubs and stones. In other words, they had been out-powered.
Eventually , “anti-government” sentiments grew stronger by the day among the people, who began storing up firearms and ammunition for the day they might have to go to war against “their government”. War finally broke out when the government in trying to ensure the “security” of its domain rather than correct itself , began a policy of disarming the people. A “militia” was formed by the people (being comprised of mostly farmers), and the first shots were fired on April 19, 1775.The government was overthrown by means of an eight year war, and through the determination and endurance of Patriots who in that day were labeled “radical”
Guess what? When I was in school I was taught that these “radicals” were our heroes, yet today our government calls them terrorists. I was taught that these people gave their blood so that we might live in a free country. I was also taught to hail them as being resisters of tyranny and defenders of liberty.
Those people were
our freedom loving American forefathers.

Obama Surrendering Internet to Foreign Powers

Without the ingenuity of America’s brightest minds and the investment of U.S. taxpayer dollars, there would be no Internet, as we now know it today.
Now, the Obama administration has moved quietly to cede control of the Web from the United States to foreign powers.
Some background: The Internet came into being because of the genius work of Americans Dr.Robert E. Kahn and Dr. Vinton G. Cerf. These men, while working for the Department of Defense in the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency in the early 1970s, conceived, designed, and implemented the idea of “open-architecture networking.”
This breakthrough in connectivity and networking was the birth of the Internet.
These two gentlemen had the vision and the brainpower to create a worldwide computer Internet communications network that forever changed the world and how we communicate in it.
They discovered that providing a person with a unique identifier (TCP/IP)that was able to be recognized and interact through a network of servers would allow users to communicate with others.
The servers would use a series of giant receivers to recognize the identifier and connect networks to networks, passing on information from computer to computer in a seamless real-time exchange of information. This new process of communication became know as the “information super highway,” aka, the Internet.
Now for the bad news: In an effort to show the world how inclusive, sharing, cooperative, and international America can be, the Obama administration set off on a plan to surrender control and key management of the Internet by the U.S. Department of Commerce and its agents.
