Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney says the Muslims he knows are “peace-loving and America-loving individuals.”

At a campaign event in Cedar Rapids Friday, the subject of how to handle the threat posed by radical Islam was raised. As reported in the Des Moines Register, Romney reminded the gathering he had grown up in the Detroit area which has a large Muslim community.

About radical Islam Romney said, “They take a very different view of Islam than the Muslims I know.”

“I believe people of the Islamic faith do not have to subscribe to the ideas of radical, violence and jihadism,” added Romney. One man at the event claimed he had not heard Muslims denouncing Islamic jihad or terrorism. Romney countered, saying , “Most Muslims are peaceful people who deserve respect”

The CAIR Observatory is a participatory open-source online research center developed to investigate the foreign funding, foreign direction and domestic political influence operations of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in the United States of America.

This site documents many questionable actions on the part of the Council on American-Islamic relations (CAIR), but the unifying concept is that CAIR is acting as a foreign agent.  The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) requires any agent of a foreign principal- including any foreign states, political parties, corporations, non-governmental organizations and individuals- to register with the U.S. government as a foreign agent.

The initial result of our ongoing investigation is CAIR and the Foreign Agents Registration Act, an analysis of public-source evidence dating from the foundation of the organization in 1994 through the present day.

The analysis in its current version documents that CAIR has:

• Received at least $2,792,203 in Contributions, Income and Money from foreign principals in the form of 11 distinct transactions
  

• Received a $2,106,251 mortgage loan from a foreign principal for their Washington, D.C. headquarters
  

• Secured the promise of at least $54,500,000 in pledges from foreign principals

• Met and coordinated with foreign principals on at least 35 occasions

• Engaged in more than 100 political influence operations on behalf of foreign principals in the United States

The analysis is fully referenced with links to documents that are almost exclusively hosted or mirrored within the CAIR Observatory site itself, guaranteeing their fidelity and permanence. It will continue to grow over time as new CAIR activities as an unregistered foreign agent are discovered and documented.

We have organized the documentation of CAIRs FAR violations into 3 categories:

• (FF “ Foreign Funding) : Accepting Contributions, Income, Money or Things of Value from foreign principals
• (MC  Meetings and Coordination) : Meeting and coordinating with foreign principals
• (IO  Influence Operations) : Attempting to influence United States policy on behalf of those foreign principals

An American entity engaged in such activities is required to register under FARA.  Indeed thousands of American entities have registered under FAR and continued to operate legally, but CAIR has operated in this capacity since its founding in 1994 and has failed to properly identify itself to the Department of Justice and the American public.

• Explore the Categories column  on the right.  You will find the documents underlying the 3 main FARA violation categories (FF, MC, IO) sorted by Country, Individual and Organization to round out the multi-dimensional view of CAIRs impact on the American political landscape.  In addition we maintain chronological categories archiving CAIRs  Action Alerts, Chapters, Financial Records, Fundraising Banquets Membership Numbers,  Real Estate Records, and Statements About Foreign Donations.   Each document has a post date that matches the date associated with the document itself (or the closest approximation when the exact date is not known).  Clicking on any category will bring up a chronological list (newest to oldest) of that document type.

Our goal is to build a model for researching and compiling evidence of illegal behavior by Muslim Brotherhood front organizations or organizations operating as foreign agents for the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and its member states in the United States. MANCHESTER, N.H. — Video footage provided exclusively to The Daily Caller shows election workers in New Hampshire giving out ballots in the names of dead voters at multiple voting precincts during the state’s primary election on Tuesday.

The bombshell video is the work of conservative filmmaker James O’Keefe and his organization, Project Veritas.

Voters in the Granite State are not required to present identification to vote. O’Keefe’s investigators were able to obtain ballots under the names of dead voters at polling locations Tuesday by simply asking for them, he said.

“Live free or die,” an election worker told one of the investigators in the video. “This is New Hampshire. No ID needed.”

“There is fraud going on and our goal is to visualize it for people,” he said.

When Jermaine Green and his fiancee Violet Roberts got on a Metro bus in Bellflower Monday night, they took notice of another passenger.

“The lady got on the bus with a stroller full of pillows, she was very polite, said hello to everyone and sat down,” Green said. At the next stop, two LA County sheriff’s deputies, one male and one female, boarded the bus and called the passenger by name.

“They said get off the bus. She then started cursing at (the female deputy). You could tell she had special needs. After that they grab her, she curses him out, calls him a big shot, next thing you know he gives her a big shot,” Green said.

Green captured the incident with his cell phone’s video camera.

“It was like they were tired of dealing with her so they didn’t try to talk to her or anything,” Roberts said.

“I couldn’t believe it. He seen me taping. He looked up at the camera a few times, and he still hit her like that, and I can’t believe he didn’t try to diffuse the situation at all,” Green said.

Green recently returned home from serving six years in the Army, including tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“In the Army, they gave us extensive training for rules of engagement. There’s proper protocols and steps you take. This lady didn’t do anything, she wasn’t combative and he actually turned combative on her,” Green said.

Green claims the deputies then tried to intimidate him when he refused to hand over his cell phone.

A man thought to be an Islamic extremist is believed to have shot the windows out of at least two businesses in Alabama City early Sunday to lure police officers to the area and engage them in a shootout.

Luis Ibarra-Hernandez, 21, from Albertville, was charged today with attempted murder, according to a news release from the Gadsden Police Department.

“After the man was taken into custody, he reported that he knew he must do something extreme to draw attention to Islam and himself, so he planned to shoot police officers,” Gadsden Police Capt. Regina May said.

Gadsden police officers responded to alarm calls for glass breakage after doors were shot out about 1:30 a.m. Sunday at AutoZone and Rainbow Food Mart near the intersection of 27th Street and West Meighan Boulevard.

While investigating the broken doors and determining they were shot out, officers heard gunfire and spotted a man near the old CVS building.

The man knew he had been seen and ran toward the Cathedral of Praise Church parking lot, then started firing rounds at the officers.
