SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane bomb squad was called in to destroy an explosive device found in a car near NorthTown Mall Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly before 2 pm authorities got a call for a suspicious device found inside a vehicle near the intersection of Cincinnati and Olympic. Police say the owner of the car had a flat tire and left the car parked on the side of the road but it’s not known how the device got inside his car.
The bomb squad was called in, they analyzed the device, and determined it could be a threat to the community. Officers say the device inside the car looked like it had a fuse and could possibly be explosives.
