The police officers who stopped Oklahoma City motorist Chip Harrison and confiscated a sign from his car told him he has a right to his beliefs, but the U.S. Secret Service “could construe this as a threat against President Obama,” according to the incident report released this morning.
An Oklahoma City police officer wrongly pulled over a man last week and confiscated an anti-President Barack Obama sign the man had on his vehicle.
.
The officer misinterpreted the sign as threatening, said Capt. Steve McCool, of the Oklahoma City Police Department, and took the sign, which read “Abort Obama, not the unborn.”
Chip Harrison said he was driving to work when a police car followed him for several miles and then signaled for him to pull over.
“I pulled over, knowing I hadn’t done anything wrong,” Harrison said in a recent phone interview.
When the officer asked Harrison if he knew why he had been pulled over, Harrison said he did not.
“They said, ‘It’s because of the sign in your window,’” Harrison said. (more…)
A Christian nurse in Britain may soon be fired for offering to pray for her patients’ recovery.
Caroline Petrie has been suspended and faces disciplinary action because her employer claims she failed to show a “personal and professional commitment to equality and diversity” when she suggested the prayer, the London Telegraph reported.
Petrie, 45, a wife and mother of two, is a community nurse
who works for North Somerset Primary Care Trust. As part of her job, she visits patients who are sick and elderly. Petrie said she never forced her Christian beliefs on any of her patients but simply asked if an elderly woman would appreciate the blessing.
“I simply couldn’t believe that I have been suspended over this,” she told the Telegraph. “I knew I hadn’t done anything wrong. All I am trying to do is help my patients, many of whom want me to pray for them.” Read More
Pastor Dave was giving Nathaniel Partee, 47, a ride to a scheduled appointment at a detox center, a place that would help Nathaniel stay off of his addiction. A short distance on route, he stopped at a Burger King to get something to eat for the both of them. He went through the drive-through. While waiting for their fish sandwiches in a parking space close to the building, Pastor Dave saw two teen boys skating in the parking lot. Thinking about the event that was just a little over a day away, Pastor Dave called out the window, “Hey kids, come here.” He wanted to tell them about Jesus and invite them to the event. The boys, one thirteen-and-a-half, the other turning fourteen that month, did not go over to the truck. They instead called the police.A police report shows that officers were dispatched on a call for a white man and black man trying to coerce two juvenile males into a truck. Click Here
Ian Freeman of Free Talk Live…says the great thing about civil disobedience is that you win when the government ignores you, and win faster when it attacks you. Now we get our chance to prove the last half of this sentence true, for the government is attacking Freeman on the most bizarre of grounds. Ian has just reported during his show that he is being ordered to appear in court or somethingbecause he spoke out (and wrote about) Andrew Carroll’s marijuana protest. This is potentially a really big deal as a first amendment issue.

According to the local Los Angeles newspaper, The Daily Breeze, California Congresswoman, Jane Harman, a blue dog conservative democrat, is up for a high level intelligence position in the Obama administration. The positions being considered are Director of National Intelligence, and Secretary of Homeland Security. If this speculation becomes fact, and Harman is appointed overseer of the freedoms of the American people, the people’s freedoms are toast. Conservative Democrat Harman consistently legislates AGAINST participatory democracy and against personal freedom.
The most egregious example of Harman’s disregard for participatory democracy is HR 1955 - the “Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007″ - a frightening bill she slipped in the House for passage just over a year ago. HR 1955 is so anti-dissent, so anti-freedom and so McCarthy-like in its establishment of citizen review Commissions its Senate clone, S 1959, which luckily has not yet come up for vote. Unfortunately, Mrs. Harman was so covert when sneaking in “1955″ that no citizens could lobby to stop it.
“On October 23rd [2007], Congress voted to stifle Americans’ right to dissent when it passed House Resolution 1955, the “Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007,” sponsored by California Congresswoman, Jane Harman. In sanctioning the ambiguous definitions for “homeland terrorism” contained in this bill, Congress equated American participatory democracy to American “homegrown terror.” The First Amendment is under assault:
H.R. 1955 DEFINITIONS:
(1) COMMISSION - The term ‘Commission’ means the National Commission on the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism established under section 899C.
(2) VIOLENT RADICALIZATION - The term ‘violent radicalization’ means the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change.
(3) HOMEGROWN TERRORISM - The term ‘homegrown terrorism’ means the use, planned use, or threatened use, of force or violence by a group or individual born, raised, or based and operating primarily within the United States or any possession of the United States to intimidate or coerce the United States government, the civilian population of the United States, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.
(4) IDEOLOGICALLY BASED VIOLENCE - The term ‘ideologically based violence’ means the use, planned use, or threatened use of force or violence by a group or individual to promote the group or individual’s political, religious, or social beliefs.
Despite the ambiguity of the language in H.R. 1955, it still passed the House by an overwhelming 404 to 6 - rammed through by Jane Harman, under the guise of deterring another American mass murderer like Timothy McVeigh.”
There is ample proof Jane Harman intentionally slid this undemocratic legislation past her Congressional colleagues to conceal from them how extreme an assault on freedom it would be. According to her colleague, Henry Waxman, Harman’s bill had been placed on the “suspension calendar for non-controversial bills.” In other words, Mrs. Harman casually slipped in a bill that could declare ANYONE in America a terrorist based on the vaguest definitions and then she just asked everyone to sign on..
Below is a youtube of Henry Waxman being confronted at a Los Angeles Town Hall on December 26, 2007, and challenged for his support of “1955:”

>
“A nation that views its own people as enemies creates laws to suppress them. A Congress that ignores the will of its people creates laws to redefine them. Homegrown activists become homegrown terrorists. Per the vague designations in H.R. 1955 [and S 1959], activists and terrorists are the same.”
Andy Burnham says he believes that new standards of decency need to be applied to the web. He is planning to negotiate with Barack Obama’s incoming American administration to draw up new international rules for English language websites. Read Full Story
UPDATE: on the Ohio Legislature’s activities since our Wednesday Sledgehammer Alert. Thankfully, that Sledgehammer alerted and activated people across the country to the very real and imminent threat that a Constitutional Convention might soon be called by Congress. You had a definite impact on the Ohio House, and gave us at least a temporary victory. But we’re not finished, as you will see.

The Bill of Rights was meant to ensure basic rights during times of war and times of peace, regardless of who is in power. In order to ensure its future, we must keep using the First Amendment and speaking out when our rights and the rights of non-citizens are threatened.
In 1941, 150 years after the first 10 amendments were ratified, President Franklin Roosevelt declared December 15 “Bill of Rights Day.” Now many communities around the country observe the day. BORDC invites you to celebrate and exercise the rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. Some ideas for celebrating the day include:
New!Download the Bill of Rights (11 x 17inches), take it to a copy shop, print it off, roll it into a scroll, tie a ribbon around it, and hand out to holiday shoppers, as you remind them of the Bill of Rights protections that are currently being denied all of us. Scroll can also be downloaded as a Word Document. You can also print a copy on legal-sized paper (8 1/2 x 14 inches) PDF legal-size or on letter-sized paper * 8 1/2 x 11 inches) PDF letter-size.
Download BORDC’s Bill of Rights bookmarks in English or Spanish. Print 6 bookmarks on an 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of cardstock for an inexpensive, educational handout to distribute to your local schools and libraries.
Entertain holiday shoppers with street theater, or include a short play or video as part of a local civil liberties forum. Visit our recommended resources page for suggestions and links.
Read the Bill of Rights in front of city hall or other public place. Invite local elected officials to participate.
Encourage your local government to officially proclaim December 15 Bill of Rights Day.
Pass a Bill of Rights Proclamation in your community. Ask your City Council, County Board of Commissioners or other local government to declare December 15 Bill of Rights Day in your community. See Proclamations and Resolutions section for sample resolutions, ongoing local efforts, and a map of where Bill of Rights Proclamations have been passed.
Organize a reading of the Bill of Rights in your community: invite school classes, entire schools and school districts, city councilors, and others to take part in reasserting this founding document in our public lives.
Pass out copies of the Bill of Rights and ConstitutionSee Resources section for flyers, bookmarks, copies of the Bill of Rights and Constitution, films and videos.
Panel Discussions/Public Forums: Ask local experts on the Constitution to participate in discussion about current threats facing the Constitution and/or showing films. See Resources section
Letter to the editor campaign: Use the tips from this BORDC workshop on creating Circles of Scribes — community letter writing groups — to get a buzz going about Bill of Rights Day in your community.
Open Microphone at a local gathering spot to give community members an opportunity to speak their minds, read from the Constitution, or use poetry to express their feelings about our loss of liberties.

Binghamton University (formerly SUNY–Binghamton) has abandoned its attempt to suspend or expel a student who put up posters challenging the Department of Social Work. The department had ordered that social work master’s student Andre Massena leave the program for one year with no guarantee of return, required him to apologize, and demanded that he publicly disavow his own views after his pseudonymous posters challenged the department for having hired the executive director of the Binghamton Housing Authority (BHA)—an agency Massena thought was responsible for social injustice. When Massena appealed, the department’s chair added entirely new allegations and recommended his expulsion. The department dropped the charges late Friday, one day after the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) took the case public.
f history has taught us nothing else through the centuries it should have taught us that the best forecasters of the future are the events which transpired in the past. Sometimes the past does not have to be that far removed from the present to give us an accurate glimpse of the future. Sometimes what happened yesterday, or last year will give us an inkling what’s going to happen tomorrow, next week or next year. And, sometimes we have to look back to the birth of our nation to more clearly see its demise. In 1797 Federalist John Adams, America’s second president, pushed his super-majority Federalist Congress to enact a series of very repressive and very unconstitutional laws. Two of the laws targeted America’s ally in the Revoluttionary War. The first law was The Aliens and Sedition Act which made it a crime for resident aliens to ridicule the President. When the law was debated, its proponents, advocates of a stronger central government that did not answer to the States, declared the law was specifically and singularly crafted to protect the Executive and Legislative Branch from alien meddlers in American politics.
Read about how Freedom Fighter Radio was arrested and jailed on election day Nov.4, 2008 for a Union Down Flag Upside down flag) Note: The case is now over as Jim beat it in court.
Update all charges in this case have now been officially dismissed
Listen to the arrest clip this incident proving that the arrest and dis-orderly charge was because of a Union Down flag The officer in the recording is Captain Bill Probus of Columbia County Ga.
November 5, 2008 (Columbia County, GA) - Freedom Fighter Radio Host , Jim Stach, was stopped and arrested on the evening of November 4, 2008 as he was driving by a polling place in Columbia County, GA. Stach had gone to vote in his own precinct wearing a Fire Congress t-shirt, carrying an upside down flag and wearing an empty gun holster, in a silent form of protest. He was told he could not wear the shirt into the polling place, as it violated campaigning laws. Stach returned wearing a different shirt and was allowed to vote.
Stach, whose radio show deals with American freedoms and liberties and dispensing information that is not covered by the mainstream news networks, is very knowledgeable about the Constitution and carries an upside down flag because he feels our country is in distress. He sees this as peaceful and gives people the opportunity to approach him and ask questions without him disturbing them.
As the silent protest went well and he was allowed to vote at his precinct, Stach went driving around to other areas. A lady who was offended that he would be flying his flag Union down approached him, and he had the opportunity to engage in a peaceful conversation about his thoughts on the direction of the country. As Stach left the area, he was pulled over and was questioned about the incident. Up to approximately 6 police cars came to the scene and 12 officers, after Stach was stopped. Stach was cooperative as they questioned him and they took the opportunity to search his car. Upon speaking with the accusing lady, Stach was arrested for causing a disturbance.
Stach has been released and his court date is January 21, 2009. Anyone who feels they can be of help in the matter or is interested in speaking with him is encouraged to call 706-394-8019.

After distributing a jocular flyer listing “Top Ten Gun Safety Tips” at the school’s “club rush,” a student group was threatened with probation and derecognition at Lone Star College–Tomball, a public college near Houston. After college officials banned the Young Conservatives of Texas from distributing the flyer, the school’s general counsel invoked the specter of the Virginia Tech shootings, suggesting that even a “mention of firearms and weapons” is inherently a “material interference” with the school’s operations. The case has received media attention from the Houston Press and the Volokh Conspiracy.

—With the presidential race between John McCain and Barack Obama the focus of national attention, political speech on our nation’s campuses has come under sharp attack. In recent weeks, the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) has investigated open and blatant attacks on political expression at colleges and universities across the country, from a previously unreported case at Oklahoma, to better-known cases at Illinois and Texas, to cases at smaller schools across the country. This alarming trend towards silencing political expression has prompted FIRE to release a Policy Statement on Political Activity on Campus today.
At the University of Oklahoma, students and faculty were notified last month that “the forwarding of political humor/commentary” using their university e-mail accounts was prohibited. In response to a letter from FIRE, the university has modified its stance, stating that the prohibition is only applicable “to the extent discussions are attributable to the University as endorsing or opposing a political candidate.” However, the university has not communicated this change to the community at large, leaving many under the impression that such private e-mail forwards are forbidden. At the University of Illinois, the university Ethics Office issued a newsletter warning faculty against engaging in political expression on campus, including attending political rallies, wearing buttons, and even placing bumper stickers on cars. After widespread criticism and a letter from FIRE, President B. Joseph White issued a clarification, assuring faculty members that the university would allow them to engage in such expression.
“Political expression is exactly the speech the First Amendment was designed to protect. Our nation’s colleges and universities do their students and faculty a grave disservice when they stifle the ability to engage the crucial issues of the day,” said FIRE President Greg Lukianoff. “While colleges and universities may not institutionally endorse candidates, they have a societal duty to foster and encourage debate and discussion about those issues most important to our nation. Any blanket ban on ‘political speech’ betrays one of the academy’s most important functions.”
In addition to the situations at the University of Oklahoma and the University of Illinois, FIRE has monitored bans on political expression at several other institutions in the past few weeks. At the University of Texas at Austin (UT), two students were threatened with disciplinary action for refusing to remove political signs placed in their dormitory window. In the face of nationwide criticism, UT President William Powers Jr. waived that prohibition, pending a policy review. Iowa Western Community College has banned individual students from distributing campaign handbills and has banned postings of campaign materials while other postings are allowed. FIRE has also received reports of censorship at Fresno Pacific University, Louisiana State University, and Cuyamaca College.
In response to the numerous instances of censorship of political expression on campuses nationwide, FIRE today releases its 2008 Policy Statement on Political Activity on Campus. The policy statement details the freedom of political expression that students, student groups, faculty, and staff at public and private universities should expect at their institutions. The statement also reminds university administrators of their legal and moral obligations to ensure the protection of the political expression of students and faculty.
“FIRE’s Policy Statement on Political Activity on Campus is our attempt to end the widespread confusion about the fundamental right to political expression we’re witnessing at schools across the nation,” William Creeley, FIRE’s Director of Legal and Public Advocacy, said. “Either out of ignorance or out of sheer disregard for the rights of students and faculty, university administrators are too often implementing absurd bans on political speech this election season. FIRE’s Policy Statement is designed to inform members of the university community about their right to join in the national political discussion in the final weeks before the election.”
FIRE is a nonprofit educational foundation that unites civil rights and civil liberties leaders, scholars, journalists, and public intellectuals from across the political and ideological spectrum on behalf of individual rights, due process, freedom of expression, academic freedom, and rights of conscience at our nation’s colleges and universities. FIRE’s efforts to preserve liberty on campuses across America can be viewed at thefire.org.

MINNEAPOLIS — An Associated Press photographer and a Democracy Now! TV and radio show host were among those arrested at an anti-war march on the first day of the Republican National Convention. Both were released hours later.
Police said today they arrested 286 people during Monday’s event. Most of the estimated 10,000 people in the march were peaceful, but small groups that police said numbered about 200 broke windows, slashed tires and harassed delegates.
A different group, the Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Committee, was going ahead with a planned march today. This committee obtained a permit for its march, though spokeswoman Cheri Honkala said the group would deviate from its permitted path to go by the county jail where some of those arrested Monday were still held.
The committee is separate from the RNC Welcoming Committee, a group of self-described anarchists who vowed to keep up their street protests all week.
AP photographer Matt Rourke was covering the protest when he was swept up by police moving in on a group of protesters in downtown St. Paul. Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman was arrested as she asked police in riot gear about the status of two producers who had been arrested, one of whom she had heard was bleeding. The producers also were released later.

David Ake, an AP assistant chief of bureau in Washington, said he was concerned by the arrest of Rourke, a Philadelphia-based photographer.
“Covering news is a constitutionally protected activity, and covering a riot is part of that coverage,” Ake said.
“Photographers should not be detained for covering breaking news.” Phil Carruthers, director of the prosecution division of the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office, said Monday night that no charges against Rourke were anticipated. Rourke, held on a gross misdemeanor riot charge, was released early today.
Democracy Now! producers Sharif Abdel Kouddous and Nicole Salazar were arrested while they carried out their journalistic duties, Democracy Now! said in a statement. Democracy Now! said Kouddous and Salazar were arrested on a felony riot charge while Goodman was charged with misdemeanor obstruction of a legal process and interference with a peace officer.
All three appeared on Goodman’s show today and recounted their experience. A video of Goodman’s arrest, aired on her program and also posted on YouTube, shows her begging police not to arrest her before being taken away in handcuffs.
Court proceedings moved slowly this morning as at least 22 people facing misdemeanor charges had refused to give their real names, said Dave Gill, a Ramsey County public defender. Only two people had gone through initial hearings by midday.
RNC Security Response: Rubber Bullets and Smoke Bombs This is raw, zoomed footage of a rubber bullet being fired at close range at protesters. A smoke and tear gas bomb goes off a bit later.
Police Seize Journalists Notes About RNC Protest Plans A trio of journalists who have a track record of documenting police abuse at political conventions were stopped and searched during the early morning hours in Minneapolis. Police took their video equipment, cell phones, hard drive and notes about protests planned for next week’s Republican National Convention.
At it again trying to show everyone the tyrannical government oppression, We Are Change Colorado exposes the detention camps built for the DNC protesters. We Are Change members attempted to go into the camp to get exclusive footage and talk to the guards but were strictly warned to stay away. They did manage to get some footage of the camp and detail some new information about its location and description.
Apparently this is all being kept a secret facility, until now. We Are Change Colorado showed up at 3833 Steele St in Denver to get a glimpse of the draconian concentration camp style facility that has been designed to hold civilians during mass arrests. The place has virtually no bathrooms and one giant air conditioner.
Located right next to the facility is a large LZ (landing zone) for helicopters to land and load or unload their cargo. Also located between the warehouses are the railroad tracks. Like something out of a movie, this facility looks like a flash from the past as if Nazi Germany or the Japanese Internment camps. Political prisoners have always been discussed throughout history, but in the United States? It is becoming more and more like the playground of the New World Order Crazies.
Here is the exclusive footage from We Are Change Colorado:

We Are Change is a powerful and important force for change all over the world as is every group that gets out and makes a loud demonstration of how we all feel about what our government has been and is doing. It’s critically important to have visible opposition to the tyrants and criminals that are destroying sovereign nations and oppressing citizens all over the world.
What I think everyone who is inclined to do street actions, in whatever form, protests, marches, confronting politicians on the street or in meetings has to remember is that voicing your displeasure is only as effective as the “OR WHAT” that follows. For example, you can loudly protest that you wish your representatives end illegal immigration and open borders. You can write them, fax them, camp outside their office but the sad fact is your representatives are only thinking one thing. “OR WHAT?” You scream and yell that you want the war to end but your reps are thinking to themselves “OR WHAT?”
The reason we are never taken seriously, the reason you are all hauled out of rooms, tasered or actually thrown in jail because you dare to confront these bastards out loud, in public is because we do not have an OR WHAT that has any teeth. At best our OR WHAT has false teeth and they are in a glass somewhere our feeble minds can’t recall.
So to remind everyone what our one and only OR WHAT really is . . . WE WILL VOTE YOU OUT OF OFFICE YOU BASTARD! That’s OR WHAT!
The problem is the powers-that-be know that the likelihood of the American people forming the united front required to vote them out of office is about as likely as the Central Bankers forgiving all the fraudulent debt they’ve enslaved humanity under and issuing debt free money. They are totally convinced they have socially conditioned us to such a degree that they believe we are literally incapable of doing what’s necessary. And even if we try, they know they can fractionalize us and destroy any focus with a snap of their fingers. We fall for their tricks every single time.
Until we prove them wrong, until we prove we can stop bickering and fighting over all the political footballs and false left/right paradigm nonsense, they will be absolutely right that they have no reason to fear us. Until we REALLY vote the bastards out of office EN MASS, we will never be taken seriously, we will never be paid attention to and our OR WHAT is nothing more than a hollow, pathetic threat.
SO, we’d like to propose a new tactic be added to the mix. Rather than only confronting our Congressional criminals with their crimes and trying to engage them to answer questions, which they WILL NEVER DO, we propose approaching them peacefully and calmly with the Pink Slip shown above.
And this is how we suggest you do it, all over the country, at every opportunity. Prior to approaching your favorite Congressional criminal, hold the pink slip up to the camera so everyone can read with it says, then approach the criminal and say something like:
Hello, (bastard’s name here). We are here representing your constituency and would like to publicly present you with this declaration . . .
Then read the Pink Slip:
We the People hereby give notice that your services, or lack therof, are no longer desired or required. YOU ARE FIRED! Final notice shall be recorded on election day, November 2008, at which time you will be overwhelmingly voted out of office.
Then ceremoniously hand the Pink Slip to them saying “You are hereby served!” Then you can finish by saying any number of things like, “good luck finding a real job,” and walk away.
This new tactic will allow you to confront these criminals in a way that doesn’t require them to respond and will most likely not get you hauled off and arrested. Imagine videos all over the web of all these bastards being served PINK SLIPS! Imagine our OR WHAT being shoved in their faces at every turn.
This is what we need to do to them. We need to do more than just yell at them. We need to let them know they WILL be held accountable and how we are going to do ti. We need to let them know we are going to FIRE THEM. BOOT THEM. And let them know their demise is imminent before the fact. We need to hit back and hit back hard in the only way open to us. We need to vote all these traitorous criminals out of office in November and we need to let them know loud and clear that this is exactly what we are going to do.
THEN WE ACTUALLY DO IT IN THE UPCOMING ELECTION!
We would be happy to customize this Pink Slip with your group’s
info on it. Just let us know what you’d like it to say.
Please submit all your videos of you serving pink slips to us and we’ll post them all in a special section.

Court dismisses case challenging warrantless, secret e-mail searches But the underlying issue of Fourth Amendment protections was not addressed
Ah, yes. Public eduction has performed an essential wonder, that is a wonder in the minds of our globalist rulers: Nearly half (49%) of Americans think the president has the authority to suspend the Constitution, according to Rick Shenkman’s new book, “Just How Stupid Are We?: Facing the Truth About the American Voter.”
Other astounding and disturbing facts:
– Only 2 in 5 voters can name the three branches of the federal government.
– Only 1 in 7 can find Iraq on a map.
– Only 1 in 5 know that there are 100 federal senators.
I can forgive them for not knowing the number of senators, but not knowing the three branches of government?
If true, we are indeed screwed. Because the populace is woefully ignorant of the very foundation of our constitutional republic — a trias politica, the three branches of government, intended to prevent one branch from reigning supreme and ushering in tyranny, a situation now manifest as Bush, the neocon puppet, essentially declares the executive a dictatorship. Not only are they unaware of the system of checks and balances, they think — that is, when they bother to think — that Bush has the right to declare himself dictator.
No doubt the American people will get what they deserve — and they will get tyranny, they will become slaves, members of a new servile feudal class.
This is Jonathan from We Are Change Colorado and I have launched a massive campaign to get back on youtube with full force. I have setup multiple accounts to which I will have mirrors of the We Are Change videos. (Mysteriously our previous youtube account was shut down without any reason given or notice. Conspiracy? Hmmmmmm……)
I have found in the We Are Change Colorado Archives a video of a street action when Sander Hicks was with us where the police were called on us and a cop showed up, all of this I have caught on video tape, and the police officer told us that handing out DVD’s for free was considered literature and was protected by the 1st amendment. THIS WAS ON THE 16th street mall!!!
Rob just got arrested for doing this and I have video that will show that the cops were breaking the laws they knew were in place 3 months prior.

Week Long Military Urban Warfare Drills Hijack Denver Streets in Preparation for Terror Asking people about the un-marked, black military helicopters in the streets of Downtown Denver we were no longer met with blank stares and scoffs, but with finger pointing and wild eyed expressions of disbelief earlier today.
Special operation forces have been conducting landings, and maneuvers inside the downtown city limits of the mile high city for the past 2 days. According to the (AP) these exercises will be ongoing until Friday.
MacDill Air Force Base, Fla.-based U.S. Special Operations Command spokesman Lt. Steve Ruh says the flights are a culmination of a two-week training exercise that is part of the “war on terror.” One official told KDVR-TV the flights are not security preparations for the Democratic National Convention in August.
These exercises have been conducted at multiple locations throughout the city. Two major staging grounds are a large abandoned rubber factory on the south side of Denver, and also the former Childrens hospital at Downey and 21st street. These facilities have been placed under military control with the blessing of the city according to Lt. Ruh spokesperson for the unnamed branch of the military conducting these ops city wide.
The image of helicopters loading and unloading Special Forces units in Black Hawk helicopters will ultimately prove costly for the city. One night is bad enough in a free Constitutional Republic, but for an additional 2 -3 days the city will undoubtedly be met with harsh criticism from the public.
Admittedly watching the helicopters take off and fly did stir images of American strength and pride, but these quickly vanished when a recent report from journalist Paul Joseph Watson comes to mind revealing soldiers are being asked if they would “kill Americans”.One cant help but wonder if those soldiers flying over head are the ones that said Yes.
That answer quickly came when in an extremely low pass from a MH-6 “Little Bird” with troops hanging off the sides dropped a red glow stick adorned with a military issue U.S. Army patch onto our position atop a parking garage our cameras had positioned themselves to catch the action. Now whether or not this glow stick meant we just got fragged by a drill grenade, or if it was just a friendly gesture by our boys in the military is unknown, but coming with in feet of our position you can rest assured they are deadly accurate from that height.
The videos below are compilation pieces from the two above mentioned facilities these operations were being conducted at, interviews, and car chases to the un-disclosed drill location all gathered by the 4 film teams
