One Ft. Hood victim lived and taught in Tucson

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - An ex-wife of Maj. L. Eduardo Caraveo– a man with Tucson ties– has confirmed he was one of the victims of Thursday’s shooting spree in Ft. Hood, Texas. Maj. Caraveo was an adjunct professor at the University of Arizona who also worked as a case worker for Child Protective Services.
He earned his Ph. D. from the UA in 1986. On his website, he says he has been practicing clinical psychology for 20 years.
Maj. Caraveo was assigned to the 467th Combat Stress Control Army Reserve Detachment at Ft. Hood, according to the Madison.com.
That unit provides mental health and other services to soldiers suffering from combat stress.
